“Minister of Justice Addresses Imposition of Fines on Mobile Operators”

Today, during a session of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, the Minister of Justice, Grigor Minasyan, addressed the issue of administrative fines imposed on mobile operators in response to a question posed by ANC member Andranik Kocharyan. Minister Minasyan clarified that while fines are indeed imposed, they are directed towards the operators’ devices rather than the employees. He emphasized that it is the workers, specifically the technicians, who are involved in the process of providing the service, rather than the preparation of devices on-site.

Furthermore, the Minister disclosed that they have already obtained the approval of the Prime Minister for a monthly inspection, which will be conducted in the first or second month of each month. This inspection is based on the proposal of a standard-compliant company. Minister Minasyan gave an example of the Armavir CCH, where a system has been implemented for food, drugs, and worker safety. In this context, he highlighted the importance of identifying whether a similar system is required for workers with disabilities or if it proves to be unnecessary or ineffective.
