“Internal Divisions Threaten Unity of Armenian Political Leadership: Hraparak Reports Contrasting Views Within CP on EU Integration”

“Hraparak” newspaper reports that there is now a lack of unity within the political leadership of the CP, both internally and externally. Previously, Nikol Pashinyan had enforced unity among CP members, but now there is a clear division between the Nikolists and Grigorianists. ACP member Tepet Grigoryan, who has always been loyal, has started expressing uncertain positions towards the CPs, going against Pashinyan’s moves and favoring European integration over membership in the EAEU. Grigoryan does not support positive discussions about Armenia’s relations with Russia and the negative consequences that have arisen. There is speculation that the leadership group is trying to form an “indefinite” force within the team to have influence in the upcoming elections. More information will be available in tomorrow’s newspaper.
