“Bulgarian Smugglers Caught Hiding 170kg of Cocaine in Marine Turtle; Largest Drug Seizure in Burgas, Worth 6.2 Million Euros!”

According to the Associated Press, Bulgarian smugglers were apprehended while attempting to transport approximately 170 kilograms of cocaine from Ecuador to Panama. The regional judge, Georgi Chinev, revealed that the drugs were concealed within a marine turtle named “Medison 2,” which was intercepted in Malta. The cocaine has an estimated value of 6.2 million euros.

Petr Bankova, the head of the customs service, stated that this incident marks the largest drug seizure in the city of Burgas, Bulgaria. The bank also disclosed that the drugs were hidden among 150 boxes of oranges. Following the unloading of the shipment, the turtle was released back into the sea.

An investigation has been initiated to identify the intended recipients of the cocaine. If found guilty of drug trafficking, they could face a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
