“Over 200 Cases Unearthed in Recent Operations by National Security Service of Armenia”

According to press releases from the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia between March 22-25, a total of 207 operational activities were uncovered, with 3 of them being previous cases.

Out of these activities, 30 cases were related to financial crimes, 23 cases were related to drug trafficking and transportation, where the transportation rights were revoked or carried out by unauthorized individuals. There were also 18 cases of physical assault, 16 cases of theft, 10 cases of personal property damage, 8 cases of mental assault, 7 cases of hooliganism, 6 cases of fraud or embezzlement, 4 cases each of arson, destruction of property, counterfeit banknotes, illegal use of firearms, concealment of illegal firearms, and illegal possession of firearms, 3 cases each of computer crimes, burglary, sabotage, sexual exploitation of minors, and illegal entry into the apartment of others, 2 cases each of short-circuiting, human trafficking, counterfeit currency distribution, and attempted murder, and 1 case each of murder, attempted murder, sexual violence, and child endangerment. Additionally, there were 1 case each of labor exploitation, failure to comply with safety regulations, non-performance of official duties, violation of residential privacy, false imprisonment, and failure to protect the well-being of a minor or the duty of care for the sick or elderly.

During this time period, there was also 1 apprehended fugitive and 7 wanted individuals, and 1 individual presented for questioning. Two cases of illegal firearm possession were registered.

In previous operational activities, 2 cases of personal property damage and 1 case of personal property damage by an individual under the age of 16 were uncovered.

Over the past 3 days, while the state of emergency was in effect, 28 road accidents were recorded in Armenia, resulting in 4 fatalities and 40 injuries.
