Artyom Harutyunyan, the former mayor of Artik, has been detained for a period of two months, according to information obtained by NEWS.am from the Anti-Corruption Committee. The committee stated that Harutyunyan is currently being interrogated in relation to an ongoing criminal investigation into financial irregularities within the municipality. It has been reported that the mayor is being detained in the same facilities where employees of the Shirak Regional Administration were previously held. The investigation has resulted in the detainment of six individuals, all of whom have been accused of involvement in financial irregularities, and they will be charged and prosecuted accordingly. At present, three of the detainees have already been arrested.
