Armenia Ranks 9th in Global Corruption Analysis, Tops the Region in Anti-Corruption Efforts

Armenia has shown improvement in its position in the global corruption rankings, moving up to the 9th place out of 137 countries with a low level of corruption. In the regional context, it now holds the top spot. During a recent session of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Defense and Security, Deputy Prime Minister Vahe Ghazaryan presented a report on the Government’s Program for the Consolidation of the Defense and Security of the Republic of Armenia (2021-2026). Ghazaryan highlighted that Armenia is regarded as a country with a low level of corruption, alongside Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Taiwan, Oman, and New Zealand. Additionally, Hong Kong, Japan, and Slovenia are also recognized for having a relatively low level of corruption.
