“Moscow Metro and Sheremetyevo Airport Increase Security Measures after Grozny Attacks: RIA Novosti”

The security measures in the Moscow metro and the Sheremetyevo Airport have been strengthened following the terrorist attacks in the government building in Grozny, according to a report by “RIA Novosti.” Transportation security personnel are now checking the belongings, bags, and documents of passengers in certain stations of the Moscow metro. The Russian Ministry of Transport had previously announced that the highest level of security measures would be implemented in transport objects. Additionally, safety measures have been intensified in the Yerevan and Serpukhovskaya stations, where transportation security personnel are inspecting the belongings and bags of passengers upon entrance.

In response to the increased security threats, the Sheremetyevo Airport has implemented additional security measures, including the installation of extra security equipment. Despite these measures, Anna Zakaryan, the spokesperson for the airport, assures that it is operating normally. Passengers were advised by “Russia” to arrive at Moscow airports ahead of time to account for the intensified security measures.

Furthermore, security measures have been reinforced in other areas, such as the Sokh River naval base in Sevastopol, as well as in international airports, railway stations, and state institutions across the Moscow region. Yuri Vladimirov, CEO of Rushavia, emphasized the importance of reinforcing security measures, and Alexander Brezhnev, the head of the Republic of Uzbekistan, announced additional security measures in Moscow.

In light of the situation, Brezhnev addressed parents and young people, urging them not to skip classes at schools and universities. He assured them that there is no reason to panic and that educational institutions are secure. An informational campaign will be launched to demonstrate the security in the Moscow region. Brezhnev encourages everyone to continue with their routines and prepare for the educational week.
