The main judiciary of Latvia is currently conducting a criminal investigation regarding the possible misuse of state resources involving the use of government vehicles by officials from the Cabinet of Ministers, headed by Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins. This information was reported by Delfi. During a preliminary audit, it was discovered that significant amounts of money were being spent on official trips that exceeded the limits established in agreements with tour operators. Official data reveals that from September 2021 to September 2023, a total of 613,830 euros were spent on special flights from the budget of the Presidential Office, which is part of the current expenses amounting to 1.36 million euros.
