“Concerns Arise as Occupational Safety is Neglected in Armavir Industrial Zone: Asbestos Use and Water Pollution Without Permission Raises Alarm”

Workers in the regions of Armavir, Gribedov, and Hayashen have expressed their concerns during an ongoing inspection of occupational safety and health in an industrial zone. The inspection is focused on M. Grigoryan’s non-functioning factory, which is using asbestos for agricultural purposes. In the village of A. Karapetyan, the inspection is being conducted due to the unauthorized use of contaminated agricultural water. As a result of the inspection, two asbestos furnaces in the residential area of Armavir’s Occupational Department have been temporarily shut down. Administrative fines have been imposed and measures are being taken to address the issue of water pollution.
