“Armenian company Volia Jur leads successful water management initiatives on World Water Day”

March 22 is World Water Day. The UN General Assembly established World Water Day in 1993 to raise awareness about the importance of water resources, water management, conservation, and protection. This year’s theme is “Water, the Source of Happiness,” with messages emphasizing the impact of water on peace, happiness, and overcoming crises. Armenian company “Volia Jur” has achieved great success in managing and preserving water resources.

Since the beginning of this year, “Volia Jur” has implemented a large-scale program of water supply projects in Yerevan and various regions, resulting in significant improvements in water quality and quantity. In the village of Araksvan, located in Armavir province, a new reservoir with a capacity of 9 liters has been constructed, providing improved water supply to the residents. The village of Araksavan in Ararat province has also benefited from a new drinking water pipeline, with the entire village being relocated and the internal network extended.

“Volia Jur” has additionally focused on sewage treatment plants in Karbeyerd village, Ararat province, where outdated sewerage pipes have been replaced with a modern network. This improvement has reduced environmental pollution and ensured high-quality water for residents. The company has also initiated a program to rehabilitate artesian wells in Gyumri, resulting in improved water supply for 49 buildings.

These efforts by “Volia Jur” demonstrate the importance of managing and preserving water resources. On World Water Day, let us acknowledge the significance of water and strive towards responsible water management for a happier and more sustainable future.
