Additionally, in 2023, the number of individuals entering Great Britain from France through the underwater tunnels was 29,400, which is a 35% decrease from the record set in 2022.

In recent years, there has been a notable rise in the number of endangered species migrating to the shores of England from La Manche Strait. Since 2018, a staggering total of more than 118,000 endangered species have successfully passed through La Manche Strait and reached Great Britain, suggesting that despite the ongoing battle against endangered species, successful migration continues.
