“Food Safety Inspectors Shocked by Violations at Ararat’s Food Production Complex”

Food safety inspectors from the Ministry of Food Safety of the Republic of Armenia recently conducted a surprise inspection at a food production complex in the village of “Tsitsan” in the Masis community of the Ararat region. The inspection, carried out by the Food Safety Inspection of Armenia (FSIA), uncovered several violations of sanitary and hygienic norms at the facility.

The inspectors found that the kitchen and its utensils, as well as the upper floors, had not been designed or constructed properly to prevent the accumulation of dirt, cross-contamination between different ingredients, the presence of pests, and the growth of microorganisms on surfaces or food. As a result, the production activities at the facility were immediately suspended, and a deadline was given to rectify the identified violations.

This incident highlights the importance of regular inspections to ensure food safety and the adherence to established standards. The Ministry of Food Safety of the Republic of Armenia is committed to protecting the health and well-being of its citizens by enforcing strict regulations in the food industry.
