The French defense minister, General Pierre Shill, has announced that the French military is fully prepared to handle any type of threat or emergency, no matter how extreme. In an article published in Le Monde, General Shill emphasized that the French population can rely on their defense forces to effectively respond to any action.

The general further stated that by showcasing the capabilities of the French armed forces, diplomatic negotiations could be established to resolve any conflict involving France. As part of their preparedness, France has the ability to deploy a naval group consisting of 20,000 military personnel, including divers and special forces, within a span of 30 days in the Mediterranean. This group can collaborate with 60,000 troops from allied countries to carry out operations.

Additionally, the French defense authorities disclosed that they currently have 121,000 military personnel and the capability to call up to 24,000 reservists if needed. During former French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Ukraine, he did not specifically address the deployment of French military forces in Eastern European countries.
