“EU Assistance to Armenia’s Civil Aviation Boosts International Security, Says Foreign Minister Mnatsakanyan”

An agreement has been reached on the status of EU assistance to Armenia. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mnatsakanyan, stated at a conference on the ratification of the agreement on “The Status of Assistance to the Republic of Armenia in the European Union” that EU assistance to civil aviation in Armenia plays a significant role in ensuring international security.

The Armenian side believes that this assistance will greatly improve civil aviation and security in the European Union. The EU has initiated civil and military aviation assistance programs in 37 countries, spanning Europe, Africa, and Asia, starting in 2023. Currently, there are 21 assistance programs in progress, including 12 civil and 9 military programs. It is important to note that this assistance has helped reduce tensions and create a more positive atmosphere among the local population, according to Safaryan.
