NATO Chief Informs Georgian Government About Mission in Tbilisi: Stoltenberg’s Visit Holds Promise for Closer Ties

The head of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, arrived in Tbilisi on Thursday to inform the Georgian government about the activities of the NATO mission in Georgia.

Stoltenberg was warmly received by the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ilia Darchiashvili, along with the NATO representative in Georgia, Victor Dolidze.

“At 14:50, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, will meet with the head of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, in the government office. They will then give joint statements to the press,” stated the government.

In addition, Stoltenberg is scheduled to have a meeting with President Salome Zourabichvili.
