“Minister of Justice of Austria Holds Productive Meetings with UNODC Head on Anti-Corruption Reforms and Collaboration”

Arpine Hovhannisyan, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Austria, recently met with the Head of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Yury Fedotov, and the Regional Representative of UNODC, Ashita Mittal. During the meetings, Minister Hovhannisyan discussed the ongoing comprehensive reforms being implemented by the Ministry of Justice and the positive results they have achieved so far. The fight against corruption and the introduction of a new educational model were also key topics of discussion. The activities of the Inter-Ministerial Commission on Combating Drug-Related Crimes, Drug Trafficking, and Drug Abuse were also discussed, including the online tools provided by UNODC. Both parties expressed their readiness to take joint steps to improve the efficiency of their cooperation.
