The “Haykav” initiative is demanding the halt of the destruction of Surb Astvatsatsin Church in the village of Voskepar, Armenia. The church is located on the border with Azerbaijan and is set to undergo renovations. The initiative aims to preserve ancestral territories and calls on citizens to be vigilant in protecting the country’s security.

Azerbaijani authorities recently demanded the evacuation of four settlements in the Tavush province of Armenia as a prerequisite for the return of occupied territories. The Tavush public is calling for the protection of these settlements before any demarcation or delimitation takes place.

The head of the Armenian occupation administration, Nikol Pashinyan, announced that the villages do not belong to Armenia and are not in the Tavush province, fulfilling the demands of the Artsakh occupation administration. Fulfilling these demands would weaken the defenses of the Armenian armed forces and compromise the security and territorial integrity of Armenia.

Azerbaijan is also demanding the evacuation of territories in the Tavush, Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor, Syunik, and Ararat provinces of Armenia. These demands cover hundreds of square kilometers, and Azerbaijan refuses to back down from its occupied positions.

According to the Constitution of Armenia, any changes in the country’s territory must be made through a nationwide referendum. The “Haykav” initiative calls on the National Assembly to address Pashinyan’s statement, which violates the territorial integrity of Armenia. It urges the authorities to protect the country’s territorial integrity and fulfill their obligations through active and decisive actions.

The initiative also calls on citizens to show solidarity with the national struggle and support the protection of territorial integrity. It emphasizes the responsibility of the Commander-in-Chief and other authorities to safeguard Armenia’s territorial integrity and reminds them of the consequences if appropriate measures are not taken.

The initiative appeals to members of the National Security Council, the National Assembly, armed forces commanders, and security agency employees to actively protect territorial integrity. It encourages peaceful resistance without resorting to illegal means, exercising constitutional rights.

The appeal is directed towards the Prime Minister, urging him not to undermine the security of Armenia and its defenders. Similarly, the Minister of Defense is called upon to maintain discipline within the armed forces and protect territorial integrity. The Chief of Staff is urged to take immediate action to ensure the safety and security of the armed forces.

The “Haykav” initiative concludes by calling on all citizens to participate in civil disobedience, standing united with the soldiers defending the homeland. It emphasizes the importance of protecting the integrity and inviolability of Armenian territories until the very end.
