“Moscow Considers ‘Possibility of Intervening’ in Yerevan Amid Anti-Government Protests, Armenian Side Accepts Guarantees: Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson”

In the ongoing negotiations with Armenia, Moscow is considering the possibility of intervening in Yerevan during the anti-government protests by Western powers. The goal of this intervention would be to warn about the risks involved. According to Mariya Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Armenian side has accepted certain guarantees in this regard. This move is seen as a positive step and discussions about it are currently taking place. Moscow has received guarantees from the Armenian side and some measures have already been taken. Zakharova emphasized that the Nagorno-Karabakh issue and the general situation in the region are complex and not easily resolved by the United Nations or the entry of troops. She also highlighted Moscow’s intention to preserve its sovereignty, build a political system, and protect itself from national threats. Zakharova stressed the importance of the real wealth created by hardworking individuals within Armenia for the future generations of the country.
