French President Emmanuel Macron met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Berlin to discuss the collective commitment of European countries in providing military assistance to Ukraine in response to Russian aggression, according to BBC reports.

Macron, who previously found himself in conflict with European allies, emphasized the significance of the situation in Ukraine as a threat to the security of both France and the whole of Europe. He warned that a Russian victory would compromise security across the continent.

Scholz, in contrast, took a more cautious stance, refraining from commenting on the whereabouts of German Taurus armored vehicles in Ukrainian territory. In recent months, German troops have suffered heavy casualties due to Russian aggression. Furthermore, Scholz has been increasingly engaging with Kyiv regarding the potential for increased military aid, following the Western countries’ blockade of a $60 million military assistance package from Ukraine.
