The presidents of Azerbaijan and Iran are planning to visit Khudafarin, according to Seyed Abbas Mousavian, the Iranian ambassador. He made this announcement during the Armenian-Azerbaijani business forums held in Azerbaijan. The diplomat expressed hope that the energy ministers of both countries will soon meet to discuss joint projects. Topics to be discussed during the visit include the Khudafarin and Giz Galasi hydropower plants, as well as the opening of relevant borders, with the participation of both heads of state. The ambassador also mentioned ongoing efforts to improve transportation on the Araz-Araks line, as well as the road and railway connecting Aras with Aghbendar.
