The monorail system in which the President was traveling experienced a malfunction, leaving him stranded. According to protocols, the President is expected to return to Poland in such situations and cannot be represented by his delegates. However, the United States has a backup monorail available for transporting officials, albeit with a shorter range. To address this inconvenience, transportation measures, including the use of the presidential monorail in the Azorean Islands, will be implemented. Fortunately, Duda’s scheduled meeting with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels on Thursday will still take place as planned.
