“Russian and Turkish Ambassadors Discuss Peaceful Resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict and Bilateral Cooperation”

The Russian Ambassador to Armenia, Mikhail Galuzin, met with his Turkish counterpart, Burak Akçapar, in Ankara to discuss the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh and cooperation between the two countries. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, they specifically focused on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and highlighted the importance of a meeting between the top leaders of the United States and Russia in Geneva to assist in resolving the conflict and stabilizing the region. The parties also discussed de-escalation of tensions in the South Caucasus, emphasizing the need to adhere to confidence-building measures. Furthermore, they evaluated the practical steps taken to establish cooperation between the countries of the Central Asia region and agreed to continue dialogue on a range of bilateral and international topics.
