Wang Wenbin, a spokesperson for the ministry, stated that the potential ban on TikTok in the US is a discriminatory interpretation, pointing out that no evidence has been presented to support the claim that TikTok poses a threat to national security. The ban has been temporarily postponed, allowing ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, an additional week to finalize the sale of the platform. President Joe Biden has expressed his willingness to sign the corresponding decree at the earliest possible time.
