The Armenian Ministry of Defense has rejected the format proposed by the European Council. Armenian Defense Minister Arshakyan made the statement on March 13, 2024, informing that the format put forward by the European Council regarding the agreement between the European Union and Armenia, the improvement of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and the peaceful resolution of the conflict, goes against Armenia’s core interests. A representative from the Armenian Ministry of Defense added that these formats have no alignment with the stated values and fail to acknowledge the role of the European Council as an institution.
