The Institute of Oriental Studies and National Identity of the Republic of Armenia recently organized an academic conference on “The Study of the Cultural Heritage of Artsakh.” The conference aimed to showcase the cultural heritage of Artsakh to the world while also addressing the current situation and the consequences of Azerbaijani vandalism. The institute established a specialized group called “The Study of the Cultural Heritage of Artsakh” and a team called “Monument Watch” to collect and analyze data. The main focus of the conference was to study the non-material cultural heritage of Artsakh, map monuments and cultural heritage sites, monitor current situations and improvements, and publish scientific articles on the subject. The conference received support from various organizations and foundations.
