The Criminal Court of Cassation is set to review the appeal filed by the defense of the head of the judiciary on March 12, 2024. The head of the judiciary is being accused of embezzlement of state property. The defense of the company “M.J Investment” LLC, represented by Robert Khachatryan and his associates, has made two specific demands: public transportation and the participation of four lawyers. The accused has a remaining balance of AMD 631,572,000, which is believed to have been acquired through illegal means and embezzlement, as it cannot be justified by the accused’s personal income.

In addition, the judiciary has requested the court to also consider another appeal filed by Tigran Khachatryan, the son of the former head of the department of “M.J Investment” LLC. Tigran Khachatryan is suspected of embezzlement and has a remaining balance of AMD 111,973,000. Similarly, this balance cannot be justified by the accused’s personal income and is believed to have been acquired through illegal means and embezzlement.
