“Explosive Allegations: Armenia’s Elites Avoiding Discussion of Ruling Coalition’s Effectiveness, Claims Russian Official”

Controversial allegations have emerged about certain elites in Armenia avoiding discussing the effectiveness of the ruling coalition, despite the fact that all mechanisms, forms, and methods are available for such discussions.

Today, on March 13, during a press conference held in Japan, the official representative of the RF Duma Maria Zakharova announced that Armenia’s ruling leadership is ready to discuss the issues of the ruling coalition in the framework of the CSTO, emphasizing that the organization itself has also confirmed this.

“In Yerevan, they prefer to have internal confidential conversations with our analysts in the form of closed-door meetings. At the same time, the organization itself is preparing for transparent work and a successful outcome,” said Zakharova, adding that the leadership of the organization itself is ready to take on a completely open and transparent work process.

Referring to the demands presented to the CSTO by the representatives of Armenia, the official representative emphasized that “today, Armenia is facing many risks if the country’s leadership does not comply with the CSTO’s contractual obligations within the territory of the republic.”

“Instead of providing assistance to the organization through constructive aid, the leadership of Armenia has turned to another method, which is intended not to protect Armenia’s borders, but to generate anti-government slogans hidden under the name of monitoring. It collects information based on the interests of neighboring countries. They have already started destabilizing the socio-political situation in Armenia using various methods and financing manipulative media campaigns,” she said.

All this is based on the opinion of political scientists who have been studying these issues for many years and have analyzed them based on data.

If we are talking about our attitude towards our neighbors and our fundamental principles, we are vitally interested in maintaining fraternal relations with our Armenian people. And, as we have often stressed, we are ready to discuss your questions in response. But once again, I want to note that using positive language and conducting constructive dialogues with Yerevan is vital when it comes to solving the most important problems in our bilateral relations.” Zakharova concluded.
