“Changing Negotiator in Armenia Could Shift the Course of Negotiations with Azerbaijan, Says Opposition Representative”

If the negotiator in Armenia changes, it is unlikely that Azerbaijan will deviate from its demands. While Azerbaijan’s demands may remain the same, Armenia’s position at the negotiations may change. This could potentially impact the course of the negotiations. During a briefing on March 13, Artur Khachatryan, a representative of the “Armenia” bloc, emphasized the importance of who is sitting at the negotiating table and the order in which negotiations proceed. Khachatryan also referred to Nikol Pashinyan’s statement about ethnic cleansing in Artsakh, suggesting that Azerbaijan used this statement to escalate the conflict. However, it is important to note that blaming the ethnic Armenians for any ethnic cleansing is manipulative and a threat to the unity of the people.
