“Armenia’s Potential Participation in Eastern Partnership Initiative to be Reviewed by European Court of Human Rights: EU Shows Support for Closer Cooperation”

The European Court of Human Rights has accepted Armenia’s request to consider its participation in the Eastern Partnership Initiative. The European Union representatives stated that if Armenia fulfills the conditions for implementing the initiative and continues its democratic reforms, this could lead to further cooperation between the EU and Armenia. In the coming days, EU ambassadors will urge European Union institutions such as the European Council and the European Parliament to actively support Armenia in expanding the Eastern Partnership Initiative. This support would not only focus on economic cooperation, but also on political dialogue, security, human rights, and integration.
