“Armenian Prime Minister Sends Delegation to France for Anti-Corruption Conference”

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has instructed a delegation to travel to France within a week. The delegation will be led by Minister of Justice Karen Karapetyan and will include Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arpine Sarkisian, President of the Anti-Corruption Court Oversight Committee Mariam Galstyan, committee member Lilit Aleksanyan, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Justice Lara Petrosian, Tatoyk Khachatryan, and Lilia Aphrikian.

The purpose of the visit is for the delegation to participate in the 96th session of the Group of States Against Corruption (GRECO) of the Council of Europe. This session will be held in France from March 17-23, 2024. The delegation will consist of representatives from various branches of Armenia’s government, including the judiciary and law enforcement agencies.

The expenses for the delegation’s visit to France will be covered by funds allocated in the 2024 state budget of the Republic of Armenia. Specifically, the costs for Karen Karapetyan’s visit, as well as expenses for accommodation and per diem allowances, will be covered by funds designated for the Ministry of Justice’s activities in the state budget. Similarly, the expenses of Arpine Sarkisian, Mariam Galstyan, and other members of the delegation will be covered by funds allocated to their respective bodies in the state budget for 2024.
