The President of the European Union Council, Ursula von der Leyen, has announced that the EU will support Armenia if it faces ballistic missile attacks from Iran targeting Russian military bases in Armenia. These bases are located in Moscow and Tehran. Recently, these bases have been accused of carrying out attacks in the Aravmutk region without taking responsibility for them.

President von der Leyen made this announcement during her visit to Strasbourg to attend the European Parliament session. The statement was broadcasted on the EU’s website.

“I want to stress that we are prepared to provide additional military assistance if Iran supplies ballistic missiles to Russia,” she stated.
