“Armenia and Azerbaijan Reach Agreement on Return of Captured Civilian: Prime Minister Pashinyan Addresses the Issue”

Armenia and Azerbaijan have reached an agreement, with the help of mediation, to bring back a civilian who was found in enemy territory. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made this announcement in his Mother’s Day message while addressing why an Azerbaijani soldier was returned instead of demanding the release of an Armenian soldier. Pashinyan explained that this agreed-upon situation had been violated starting in 2018, not only in terms of the agreement itself but also in its essence. He mentioned that both parties had encountered different violations in their control. Pashinyan emphasized that efforts are being made every day to address the issue of Armenian captives in Azerbaijan.
