Last week, a municipal bus accident caused injuries to an employee of Yerevan City Hall who was on his way to work. Thankfully, the employee is currently hospitalized but not in life-threatening condition. Today, during a regular session of the Yerevan City Council on March 11, Mayor Hayk Marutyan assured that there will be no further delays in investigating the accident. He emphasized the importance of conducting a thorough investigation within the city to determine the circumstances leading to the accident.

In addition, Mayor Marutyan instructed the relevant departments of previous joint venture companies to disclose the financial information regarding the funds they have been provided with. This step is crucial in assessing whether the current allocation of funds for road maintenance is appropriate. Mayor Marutyan expressed concern over the significant increase in expenses and proposed discussing the involvement of specific joint venture companies in the analysis of these expenses or their distribution among other joint venture companies. He emphasized the need for open and transparent discussions if required.
