Armenia is currently facing a complex problem with mass unrest, and resolving it requires a political solution to the government crisis and the lack of unity among national authorities and political actors. Former President Davit Ananyan addressed this issue in a Facebook post, emphasizing the need for a government with broad representation and a political coalition that can select a leader based on consensus. While some expectations of the public have been met in terms of governmental changes, there is still uncertainty about how new developments will be pursued.

The new government has proposed five steps to address the ongoing issues, including establishing a temporary administration during the transition period, implementing political and administrative reforms, establishing local self-governance bodies, managing political and security forces, and preserving citizens’ rights through legal mechanisms. Armenia is working towards national security by developing military and defense capabilities, protecting civilian and military infrastructure, and implementing large-scale capital programs to strengthen defense capabilities and ensure the welfare of the population.

The Armenian authorities are also cooperating with all sides of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as seen in the trilateral statement signed by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia. This statement ensures the proper implementation of the agreement and the peaceful coexistence of the parties involved. The Armenian government operates based on the principles, foundations, and policies of the national defense system, prioritizing military construction and governance to ensure the country’s security and defense.
