On March 9, at 10:08, an alarm was received at the emergency management center of the Vayots Dzor region. It reported a fire in a residential building on Naréka Street in the city of Yeghegnadzor. Firefighters from the Emergency Situations Ministry were quickly dispatched to the scene.

The fire broke out in a living room and quickly spread to the rest of the apartment. Prior to the arrival of the firefighters, a newborn baby born in 2021, was rushed to a hospital due to burns. Fortunately, the baby’s condition was assessed as stable.

The fire was partially extinguished at 10:54 and fully extinguished at 11:24. Unfortunately, the wooden structures of the apartment, which measured approximately 45 square meters, as well as the furniture in the living room, interior doors, and windows, were all damaged in the process.
