On March 9, at 13:42, the Lori regional emergency management center received an alarm regarding a fire on the Vanadzor-Spitak highway, specifically near the 12th km in the northern section. The NCS Rescue Service was promptly notified and took action. Thankfully, the NCS Rescue Service was able to contain the incident within two hours, preventing further spread of the fire.

The dedicated efforts of the firefighters led to the successful extinguishing of the fire by 14:50, and the entire firefighting operation was concluded by 15:44. Regrettably, an estimated 10 hectares of grassland were affected by the blaze.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of emergency response services and their swift actions in maintaining public safety. The Lori regional emergency management center, along with the NCS Rescue Service, should be commended for their efficient handling of the situation.
