On March 8th, at 06:48, the emergency center of the regional administration of Ararat received a fire alarm from a residential building on Karakyan Street in Ejmiatsin. The alarm was triggered by a car fire.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia, a territorial military rescue team was immediately dispatched to the scene.

Preliminary information suggests that the fire originated in an “Opel” car as a result of a gas cylinder explosion. The fire then spread to 7 apartments and nearby parked cars.

The incident was brought under control by 07:07 and completely extinguished by 07:28. Unfortunately, the “Opel” car was completely destroyed.
