The Yerevan Municipality, led by Mayor Tigran Avinyan, recently removed the tents that were set up in Lvoian Street in order to create gardening space. However, it has now been revealed that the same area is being cleared for construction, as confirmed by activist Artur Chakhoyan on his Facebook page.

Chakhoyan raised concerns about the legality of the construction permission granted by the Yerevan Municipality, stating that it violates urban planning norms. The community is uncertain about whose house will be affected by the construction, leading to heightened tensions as they anxiously await a meeting with Avinyan to address their concerns. There is also talk of taking action against the Municipality’s decision.
