“Quarantine Nightmare: Civilian Trapped on Highway, Rescuers Save the Day”

On March 7th, at 10:32am, the emergency headquarters of the regional administration in Kotayk received a distress call. It was reported that a civilian near the 28th km of the Yerevan-Sevan highway was trapped due to the imposed quarantine. Rescuers were urgently needed to assist.

The Crisis Management Center, a division of the National Emergency Situations Service, quickly dispatched a rescue group to the scene. It was determined that the driver, identified as D.M. (born in 1998), had veered off the road and was stuck in an inaccessible section of the highway.

Fortunately, before the rescuers arrived, the driver was able to escape the vehicle with the help of passersby. The rescuers then safely evacuated him and provided urgent medical assistance to D.H. (born in 1983), who had also left the quarantine area to reach the vehicle.

The injured individuals were transported to a medical center where their condition was assessed as stable. Updates on this news story from Armenia will be provided by NEWS.am.
