Armenian National Assembly President Alen Simonyan Strengthening Relations with Estonia: Talks of Cooperation and Peace

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, met with the Speaker of the Estonian Parliament, Lauri Hussar, and parliamentary representatives during his official visit to Estonia on March 7.

During the meeting, Simonyan expressed gratitude for the warm reception and discussed the bilateral cooperation between Armenia and Estonia. He emphasized the importance of further developing inter-parliamentary relations and acknowledged Estonia’s support for democratic reforms in Armenia and the advancement of Armenia-EU relations.

Hussar, in turn, praised Armenia as a reliable partner and pledged Estonia’s assistance in promoting Armenia-EU relations. Simonyan also highlighted the security challenges in the region and stressed the importance of implementing the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement.

The two parties further discussed the progress of Armenia-EU relations, Armenia-Estonia cooperation, and explored opportunities for expanding economic, cultural, humanitarian, and scientific ties between the two countries. Simonyan concluded the visit by signing the Book of Honored Guests and meeting with the National Assembly’s working group on Armenia-Estonia parliamentary relations.

After his visit to Estonia, Simonyan will continue his diplomatic activities and hold a meeting at the Estonian National Assembly, further strengthening the ties between Armenia and Estonia.
