The National Security Service (NSS) and the Police of the Republic of Armenia have revealed that security breaches and cases of corruption within the NSS arms department were carried out by a group of NSS employees. From November 2023 to January 2024, covert operations were being implemented in the field of internal security and counterintelligence. During this time, some drivers involved in these operations had their vehicles immobilized or deliberately damaged, hindering their progress. In certain cases, drivers were targeted and subjected to actions that violated traffic rules, leading to injuries among civilians. NEWS.am reported that on February 20th, an article was published in the 445th issue of the official newspaper of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia (Official Gazette), outlining the criteria for seniority.
