“Prime Minister of Armenia Met with President of Egypt to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation and Sign Key Agreements”

During his official visit to Egypt, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia met with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. The visit began with a summit between the leaders of the two countries, followed by discussions in an expanded format. President el-Sisi welcomed Prime Minister Pashinyan’s visit and expressed optimism that it would enhance the multifaceted cooperation between Egypt and Armenia. The leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening economic ties and utilizing the available potential for joint programs in trade, economics, tourism, construction, agriculture, investment, and technology. They also discussed security and stability in the Middle East and North Africa regions, as well as steps towards sustainable peace and stability.

Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed gratitude for the warm reception and conveyed Armenia’s eagerness to deepen and expand cooperation with Egypt. He stressed the significance of implementing joint initiatives in various areas, including trade, economic cooperation, tourism, and cultural exchange. To facilitate this, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Economy of Armenia and the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, aimed at promoting tourism cooperation. Additionally, another memorandum of understanding was signed to foster collaboration in agriculture and rural development between the Ministry of Economy of Armenia and the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of Egypt.
