“Stalled Progress: Russian-Turkish Relations Struggle Amidst War and Economic Strains”

Russia’s economy is currently facing challenges due to the ongoing war, which is also impacting its relationship with Turkey. Andranik Ispiryan, a Turkish expert, recently shared his observations during a briefing with NEWS.am. He stated that despite the ceasefire in Artsakh, there has been no progress in the Russian-Turkish relations. The Russian invaders had initially planned for long-term influence in the region, but the situation has changed. Now, efforts are being made to push back the Russians and reduce their influence. It is evident that Russia has not yet made any attempts to seek a solution without resorting to war.

Andranik Ispiryan further commented on the military actions of Azerbaijan, noting that they didn’t take the declaration of the Antalya Forum seriously. He believes it was used against Armenia as a tool by the European “dove” without the need for war. However, as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia has highlighted, Azerbaijan is engaging in other political activities as well.
