“Armenian Town in Turmoil: Armed Conflict Reveals Corruption and Embezzlement Scheme”

The regional administration of the Aygepat settlement, located in the Ararat region of the Republic of Armenia, has reported an armed conflict to the head of the community and other officials. The investigation, conducted by the Regional Committee of the Investigative Committee, revealed several acts of violence during the conflict that occurred in the municipal building of the Aygepat town settlement.

Furthermore, it was discovered that the head of the community and other local administration officials were responsible for organizing and carrying out administrative and management abuses. This information was confirmed by a notarized lease agreement, for the rental of five rooms in the Aygepat community, which was directly approved by the lessee.

Based on the testimony of two regional administration employees, it was revealed that improper living conditions of a disabled resident led to the termination of a rental agreement for a house in the Aygepat village. The rental price for the house was determined to be significantly higher than its market value, leading to financial damages for the Aygepat town community.

As a result of court decisions, actions have been taken against two employees of the regional administration, and the materials of the criminal case have been sent for approval and submission to the court.
