“Armenia Strengthens Military Cooperation with Hungary as Greece Pledges Support for Peace”

During a recent meeting, we discussed practical ways to improve the bilateral relations between our countries. One topic that was particularly emphasized was the potential for cooperation between our armed forces and military-technical spheres. To further strengthen our armed forces, Armenia’s Defense Minister, Vagharshak Harutyunyan, signed agreements with the Defense Minister of Hungary on March 4 in Yerevan.

During this meeting, Greece’s Foreign Minister, Nikolay Dendias, expressed his optimism about the collaboration. He mentioned that joint exercises have been conducted in the past, and many representatives of Armenia’s Armed Forces have received training in military schools in Hungary. Both countries hope to continue welcoming visitors and fostering stronger ties.

In addition to the agreement with Hungary, plans for new joint exercises in the field of new defense technology have been made. This presents an opportunity for Armenian companies to participate if they are interested.

Furthermore, there are ongoing military cooperation efforts between Armenia and Cyprus. Additionally, Armenia and Greece engage in joint activities with France and India. These relationships are of great importance to both Armenia and Greece.

Greece’s Defense Minister reiterated their commitment to peaceful solutions for resolving conflicts. They firmly oppose any military actions and stand by Armenia in their pursuit of peace with Azerbaijan. Cooperation and support are seen as vital for establishing lasting peace between the two countries.

These developments indicate positive progress in strengthening and expanding the military cooperation between Armenia and its various international partners.
