“National Assembly President Alen Simonyan Resigns Amidst Country’s Turmoil: A Shocking Tale of Bloodshed and Determination”

The president of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, has resigned from his position due to the current situation in the country. Reflecting on the events of March 1, 2008, Simonyan recalled the shocking brutality inflicted upon the Armenian people in Yerevan. Witnessing the nation being beaten, attacked, and humiliated was an extraordinary and unimaginable nightmare for Simonyan. He recounted his efforts to save others and the surreal sight of helicopters in the sky above the city. The tragic loss of life and the realization that power was being protected at any cost led Simonyan to make a decision: to always stay connected with Armenia and prevent such atrocities from happening again.
