International Experts Gather in Armenia for Cyber Investigation Training

The state commission established by the Government of Armenia to investigate cyber operations and high technologies continues its activities. Recently, the 13th training course on preparation for investigation in the field of cyber operations and electronic evidence concluded at the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Armenia. The course saw the participation of the head of the analytical department of the state office of criminal investigation of the Federal Ministry of Justice of Germany, along with three experts from the office of criminal investigation of the Federal Republic of Germany in Europe.

The training course focused on the topic of “Organized crime in the field of cyber operations in the Republic of Armenia and the EU. Cooperation in the international fight against cybercrime.” The head of the office of criminal investigation from Germany expressed gratitude to the participants for their active involvement in the course. Arsen Ayvazyan, recognizing the significance of the investigators’ preparatory efforts, expressed hope for continued cooperation between the two authorities in terms of preparing experts in high technologies and facilitating the exchange of advancements, experience, and information in international investigations.

During the course, representatives from the office of criminal investigation in Germany and the European Union discussed the prospects for ongoing cooperation and the provision of advisory and methodological assistance in collecting evidence for international investigations. The main goal of the training course was to enhance the practical skills of experts in the field of investigation and to foster the dynamic development, improvement, and exchange of information related to transnational cyber criminal activities.
