“Government Extends Deadline for Compliance with Tax Code for Gambling Operators, Avoiding Business Disruption”

The government has approved changes to two laws, the “Law on Games of Chance” and the “Law on Organization of Games, Online Games, and Gambling.” This decision was made during a session held on February 29. The goal of these amendments is to give more time to individuals and legal entities involved in organizing state-licensed games of chance, including online and land-based gambling, to meet their obligations related to additional fees imposed by the Tax Code. The initial deadline for compliance will be extended, taking into account the ongoing operations of gambling operators. The reason behind this change is that meeting the requirements of the gaming industry often requires extra time. To address this, a proposed amendment includes a 10-day extension, giving operators sufficient time to fulfill their obligations before facing suspension of gambling activities and preventing any disruption to their business processes.
