Germany Takes Action to Strengthen National Security System and Collaborate with Bundeswehr

Germany is taking steps to improve its national security system and enhance cooperation with Bundeswehr in order to ensure the safety of the country’s citizens, control borders, and collaborate with military alliances, according to DPA.

On Thursday, January 25, a symposium will be held in Berlin to discuss the new operational plan of Germany’s national security, which is being developed due to increasing threats and the need to protect the country.

The symposium will be attended by representatives from the armed forces, the police, technical support organizations, scientists, energy and logistics industries, as well as delegates from partner countries.

The program is expected to be ready by the end of March.

This means that Germany will have a current and continuous security plan for the first time after the end of the Cold War.

As noted, the current defense cooperation in Europe has evolved significantly in the last 30 years, when Germany was located on the eastern border of the defense alliance.

Now, Germany is located at the core, and its problems will be addressed by NATO representatives and allies of the country in terms of providing resources and conducting operations.

At the same time, Bundeswehr presents four types of risks, some of which have already been identified.

The document primarily discusses the need, with the help of civilian efforts, to anticipate and resolve problems related to the abuse of power, public opinion, and information manipulation.

In addition, it is expected that cyber attacks and the emergence of ballistic missiles will continue to be critical issues.

“The fourth type of risk, which we need to prepare for, comes from fictional opponents, especially from unconventional actions, which will try to hinder or complicate something with complex maneuvers,” said Bundeswehr.

In addition, critical infrastructure can be subjected to ballistic attacks while Germany is working to maintain defense and increases resilience.

Germany accepted the first national military command in June as part of national security in relation to Russia’s aggression, the main problem of national security and the guarantee of freedom and independence.

“We trust NATO and the EU and we dedicate Bundeswehr to them,” the statement said.
