“Former Prime Minister Arshak Karapetyan Halts Party Operations, Supporters Forge Ahead with Movement’s Activities in Yerevan and Provinces”

The “Hraparak” newspaper has reported that former prime minister, General-Major Arshak Karapetyan, who announced last October his intention to start a new political movement for protection, has now announced that the party’s operations have been reduced and activities halted. However, despite this setback, his supporters have taken the initiative to implement the movement’s activities in Yerevan and other provinces.

These supporters are currently collecting signatures and have established multiple offices in Yerevan and Ejmiatsin. They also have plans to expand their presence in other provinces. In addition, there have been reports that Arshak Karapetyan is seeking to initiate discussions in order to implement his political team’s program.

It is worth noting that since October, Arshak Karapetyan has addressed the public twice, responding virtually to questions from Russian journalists. These questions focused on whether he would return to Russia or if the war would continue. Arshak Karapetyan has chosen to wait for an opportune moment, akin to when the leader of the October Revolution, Lenin, seized power.
